Split Contact Sheets Automatically
Detection converts the sheet to grayscale, applies a threshold and traces the outer regions that stand out from the background. Rectangles smaller than the minimum area, extremely thin strips and overlapping duplicates are discarded, so noise and page furniture rarely become frames.
Storyboard, Grid and Sprite Sheets
Frames are grouped into rows and sorted top to bottom, left to right, so a 3 × 3 sheet becomes frames 1 to 9 in the order you read them. Rows do not need the same number of panels. When a box is off, edit it by hand — exports always follow the adjusted rectangle.

What is a frame sheet cutter?
It is a tool that finds each panel inside a single image — a contact sheet, storyboard or grid of screenshots — and saves every panel as its own image file.
Which images work best?
Sheets where frames are separated by a clearly darker or lighter background: contact sheets, storyboards, sprite sheets, AI storyboard sheets and screenshot grids.
Nothing is detected — what should I change?
Adjust the Threshold, lower the Minimum Area, or switch Detection Mode between Dark Background and Light Background. Row Tolerance controls how frames are grouped into rows.
Can I fix a wrong bounding box?
Yes. Turn on Edit detection to move or resize any box, delete frames you do not need, or drag a brand new frame over the sheet. Numbering updates automatically.
Are exports full resolution?
Yes. Detection runs on a scaled copy for speed, but every crop is taken from the original-resolution image using the original coordinates.
Are my images uploaded?
No. Loading, detection, cropping and ZIP creation all happen locally in your browser; the image never leaves your device.
